What are the difference between Dayli and an OTC sensitive toothpaste like Sensodyne®?

Dayli contains the maximum amount of fluoride allowable by the FDA for a home use product (5000 ppm). OTC toothpaste contains 1000 ppm. Dayli is recommended to be used once daily prior to bedtime. OTC sensitivity dentifrice is recommended to be used twice daily in place of your regular toothpaste. Finally Dayli does not contain an abrasive while OTC sensitive toothpaste does. Since it’s recommended that patients DO NOT RINSE after applying Dayli, the lack of an abrasive gives the patient a smoother, cleaner mouth feel. Patients who use Dayli in addition to their regular toothpaste are expected to have better compliance as past market research studies have shown toothpaste to be second only to cigarettes in consumer brand loyalty.
